Update

The kiddos are now 1 week and 2 days old. It is hard to believe that a week has already past. Their first Christmas was exciting with many gifts and their first pictures with Santa Clause. Santa visited the NICU Christmas Eve and had pictures with all the babies. For their first Christmas they each received a stocking filled with baby items and a little red beanie hat, along with fleece blankets from the hospital. Avery, Will, and Alivia are all doing excellent on Tuesday they had their IV's removed and are now being feed special milk and formula through nasal tubes. Having the IV's removed makes it a lot easier in holding them and picking them up with not having to worry about lines getting tangled. The goal now is to help them learn how to eat and just grow. They are all still just a little bit below their birth weight which the nurses say is normal up until about 10 days. They received their first baths yesterday which they seemed to enjoy. Until now they only received sponge baths due to the IV's they had. The goal in giving the bath is to be quick and efficient so their body temp doesn't drop from getting wet even though the water is warm. I'm constantly amazed at how strong they are especially when trying to change a diaper. We have already been going through the pictures we have taken so far trying to make sure we get the names right with each one. It is easy to tell them apart when looking at them in person but on some of the photos it's a little difficult. However Will does have is own little look as you will see in the photos. In addition to getting the IV's removed they are now all in the same big cradle reunited once again. Will is still in the middle of Avery and Alivia will have to post that picture but here are some other pics.

Day 2

WILL AND ALIVIA

AVERY
I changed the first diaper last night, of what will be many like stars in the sky. 1 down many to go.

So thanks to my AWESOME husband this blog was started. The babies are doing great, I can't believe I have three beautiful babies, I am so very blessed and what a wonderful Christmas present. They are amazing, I could just sit and stare at them all day! Other than that I am just trying to get some sleep whenever I can and Scott is not getting very much sleep due to the wonderful hospital accommodations for the daddy's. That is about all for now. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support, we are truly grateful for all of our family and friends. I will hopefully post some more pictures tomorrow.

Mom and Avery

The babies are finally here!!!! The day started about 5:45 a.m. with the nurses coming into the room to get Shana prepped for the c-section. 7:00 a.m. The epidural went flawless and Shana didn't even know when they began. By 7:30 a.m. we welcomed 3 beautiful babies into this world. First came Avery 4lbs. 11oz. then Will 4lbs. 9oz. and last Alivia 4lbs even. All 3 are doing great with lots of dark black hair. Will is still on a c-pap for oxygen but hopefully for only about an hour they gave him some stuff for his lungs. It is only about 1:00 p.m. but it has already been a great day with many prayers answered and blessings with healthy new additions to our family. Shana is now just now trying to catch some sleep and already feels a relief from a lightened load.
